Update: 22 April 2020
Covid-19 has forced us to cancel the physical SLE 2020 conference planned to be held in Bucharest from 26 to 29 August 2020. We propose a digital alternative to our annual meeting: the SLE 2020 Platform. It will be organized by means of the repository of the Open Science Framework (OSF). The SLE 2020 Platform is reserved for the presentation of papers whose abstracts were accepted for the Bucharest meeting.
Participants are requested to register and can do so from now on. Registration is free, but must be completed by 31 May 2020 for participants to be included in the schedule, which will be out by mid-June.
Participants will have to register on the OSF platform before 30 June 2020. A tutorial to do so will be provided as soon as possible. The links to the individual OSF sites will then be added to the schedule in the course of July 2020. Participants without a paper may register to join the event to interact with presenters. If these visitors are not SLE members yet, they will be asked to become one.
Update: 31 March 2020
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions on travelling and gatherings, we have decided that the 53rd Annual Meeting of SLE cannot take place as planned, from 26th to 29th August 2020 at the University of Bucharest. We hope this difficult decision will meet with your understanding.
Even though unfortunately we will not be able to see you in person in Bucharest, we are currently considering the implementation of a platform (provisionally titled SLE 2020 Platform) to display accepted presentations, whether workshop papers, contributions to the general session or posters. Delegates who wish to do so will be able, therefore, to register for the conference (free of charge) and have their presentations displayed online at a URL to be determined in due course. Certificates will be issued to all participants.
We would like to thank you all for your help and support during the last months – the local Organising Committee chaired by Alexandru Nicolae, the Scientific Committee, workshop organisers, plenary speakers, and all members who submitted their work for presentation and discussion at SLE 2020.
Additional details and instructions will be posted on this website on Monday 20th April.
